Scotty Elliott

President, Chief Executive Officer

Scotty ElliottAs Chief Executive Officer, Scotty Elliott is charged with developing a tactical plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. Additionally, Scotty oversees daily operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources. Scotty comes to One Life America with a professional background in education and pharmaceuticals. He served Mississippi College as Director of Admissions, spearheading the recruitment campaign and strategy for the undergraduate school. Additionally, he was a member of GlaxoSmithKline's world-class product promotional team, garnering numerous sales awards during his employment. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Mississippi College in 2005 and a Masters Degree in Business from Mississippi College in 2007. He was elected into the Mississippi College Hall of Fame on May 12, 2005.

 

David White

Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer

David WhiteAs Chief Operations Officer, David White is charged with the leadership of the following departments: Agent Services, Compliance, Contracting, Human Resources and Information Technology. David has worked in the insurance industry since 1983 in various capacities, including: Accounting, Systems, Agency Management and Operations. Prior to coming to One Life America, he served Conseco, Inc., as Senior Vice President of Operations overseeing a hundred-plus member staff servicing several million policyholders. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Management emphasis) from Western State College in Colorado. He holds FLMI and ACS designations.

 

Cathy Shinagawa

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Chaty ShinagawaAs Chief Financial Officer, Cathy Shinagawa is charged with the leadership of the following departments: Accounting, Commissions, Collections, Payroll and Systems Administration. Cathy has over 30 years of financial operations experience in the life insurance industry. Her background includes the role of Controller for the life insurance companies of Life Partners Group, Inc., development of numerous agent owned reinsurance companies, and as a consultant for major insurance companies and large field marketing organizations. She has participated in an IPO and negotiated reinsurance contracts. She has also served on the Society of Actuaries Reinsurance Treaty Committee. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University. She has achieved designations of CPA, CLU, ChFC and FLMI.

 

Scott Glanton

Vice President of Sales

Scott GlantonAs Vice President of Sales, Scott Glanton oversees the productivity of One Life’s agent force. Scott is instrumental in the ongoing growth of One Life’s field and telephony sales units. Scott began his career at One Life in 2000 as a general agent and he quickly climbed the managerial ranks, assembling a championship team of agents along the way. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from Augusta State University where he was a four-year member of the Jaguar baseball team.

 

 

Bill Cole

Vice President of Technology

Bill ColeStarting his career as a Software Engineer at Peavey Electronics / Crest Audio in 2000, Bill Cole wrote production and testing software for assembly line products. Leaving in 2003, he joined Ideal Software Systems as an Installation Engineer. He was quickly promoted to Support Manager, Director of Support, and finally to Director of Technology in 2006. At this capacity, Bill was in charge of the technological needs and direction of more than 2500 clients worldwide. In 2010, Bill joined One Life America to build an IT direction and IT team. In just a short time, Bill has developed a 24/7 Helpdesk, custom application Development department, along with a Network Administration staff all to serve and support the One Life staff.

 

Greg Snowden

Legal Counsel

Greg SnowdenGreg Snowden has served as legal counsel for One Life America, and its predecessor and affiliated companies, for more than 20 years. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of Alabama, B.A., magna cum laude, 1976, and of Vanderbilt University Law School, J.D., 1979, Greg began his legal career with the firm of Holland & Knight, Lakeland, Florida. Since returning home to Meridian in 1981, Greg continuously has been engaged in the private practice of law, first with a law firm, and since 1995 as a sole practitioner. A four-term Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, he was first elected in 1999 and re-elected in 2003, 2007 and 2011. Since January 2012, Greg has served as Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives, the second-highest office of that body, and is Chairman of the Mississippi House Republican Caucus. Greg is a member of the Florida Bar, the Mississippi Bar, and the American Bar Association, and he is active in the Lauderdale County Bar Association.
