Ken Parker’s name is synonymous with success in the life insurance world. He began his insurance career in 1976, working for Union National as a Debit Agent. It didn’t take him long to excel in this capacity, and Union National quickly recognized his talents, promoting him to Sales Manager in six months time. In 1979, he was offered a management position with United Insurance Company of America and spent five years overseeing many agents, mentoring them to unparalleled success. In 1984, he made the decision to begin his own brokerage firm, and founded Parker & Associates, a national marketing organization dedicated to providing premier insurance products to the senior market. Parker & Associates’ annual production grew from $350,000 to $55 million in twenty years. During this time, Parker & Associates was widely regarded as the foremost Final Expense agency in America, as they topped the carrier production reports year-in and year-out. On January 1, 2010, Ken made the strategic decision to change the name of Parker & Associates to One Life America to highlight the company’s renewed dedication to being America’s leader in Final Expense. Ken has a wealth of experience in risk management and has garnered many awards during his career to attest to his abilities.
Wade Parker began his career at Parker & Associates in 1994 as a life insurance agent. He quickly turned into one of the most successful producers in the organization, submitting over $150,000 of annualized premium in his first year. He then gravitated into a field manager role and built a team of roughly 25 active producers. His agency was widely considered the most successful within the Meridian office, averaging over $100,000 of annualized premium per week. During his 18-year span, Wade has worked in several capacities within the company, providing him a holistic education of overseeing a marketing organization. He spent time in the following departments during his tenure: Recruiting, Training, Lead Management, and Marketing. Most recently, Wade helped to spearhead the telesales initiative. He was directly responsible for opening up the Stonewall and Meridian call centers. Wade served as the Director of each of these centers and worked closely with the insurance carriers to establish a telephony platform for selling final expense insurance.
Hallie Phillips has long been associated with One Life. Her late husband, John Houston Phillips, was instrumental to One Life’s explosive growth in the 1990’s working closely with Ken Parker on the creation of the lead system. Hallie has a broad professional portfolio and a diversified entrepreneurial resume. She serves as President of Lead America, a successful lead generation company; she maintains a Mississippi Real Estate license, with a very successful production track; and she owns and operates an upscale boutique, Belle G, in Meridian. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama.
Michael Hosch has a storied career in the insurance business. He began his affiliation with One Life in 1989 as an agent. He quickly climbed the managerial ranks and became an Executive Vice President and Partner in the early 1990s. Michael has been a critical player in the growth of the company. In particular, he played a prominent role in the expansion of Parker & Associates from a regional organization to a national powerhouse. Michael’s rich experiences continue to help guide strategic decision making.
